Funding for Eligible Two Year Olds
“This is part of a national initiative by the Department for Education (DfE) to improve outcomes for identified two year olds who would benefit from access to high quality early years and childcare provision. It will also offer help to tackle challenging circumstances, through family support offered through local Children’s Centres. Somerset offers 15 hours per week for the equivalent of 38 weeks per year for eligible 2 year olds from the funding period after their second birthday.”
(taken from the Somerset code of Practice)
Rainbow is registered to take eligible 2 year olds. Please note that funding for 2 year old places is limited, and families must meet the specified criteria. If you would like to apply for 2 year old funding please ask for a leaflet/application form.
